In some of my previous papers I revealed what my computerized ANAGRAM analysis of Nostradamus and other famous texts had uncovered.

This paper brings the analysis back to Nostradamus' Prophecies. The results seem so improbable that rather then present a statistical analysis I am displaying Nostradamus' actual lines and their anagrams so that the reader can make a judgement for themself.

The key words underlying this analysis are CENTURIES, PROPHET, NOSTRADAMUS' name(s), ASTRONOMY, QUATREINS and CODE references.

There are a limited number of whole anagrams in the 3769 lines of the prophecies. The Centuries are made up of 100 quatreins (verses of four lines) but Centuries VII only contains 42 quatreins and Quatrein 100 in Centuries VI has five lines (a header).

Here is the first quatrein (the first column links to a more detailed analysis of each line, the second column is the result of my analysis and the third column shows how the most important words fit into Nostradamus actual French text ( by using a colour code).

Verse Anagrams found by Allan Webber  Nostradamus text with anagrams highlighted
C I. Q1 line 1 Used-neat test assisted Centuries Estant assis de nuit secret estude
C I. Q1 line 4 In Quatreins' properties a faint courier. Fait prosperer qui n'est a croire vain

The following gives the first set of criteria that will help you assess each of my presented lines.

  1. The ease with which the anagrams fit
  2. The adjacent nature of highly connected words (quatreins properties, Centuries assisted etc).
  3. The strength of the relationships between the selected anagrams. (Quatreins to Centuries, Properties to courier and test).
  4. The consistency of the theme (that they form a message from Nostradamus)
  5. The extent to which they are unable to be explained as a simple by-product of the original words.

There are further criteria which will be developed as this paper progresses. They are:

  1. The extent to which the NEW MEANING reveals or supports the message in the SOURCE line or verse.
  2. The coherence of the stream of ideas that develops from these lines of verse.

If the examples given above were an isolated instance it would be much easier to dismiss my analysis as the result of chance but my case will not fall short through lack of examples. In this paper I present over 1% of the text. It should not however, be assumed that the simplicity of these lines applies to every line of verse. My best estimate is that there are about 10% of verses with very clear, simple anagram structure and of these the simplest lines of anagram code are those connected to the theme of Nostradamus himself.

Two anagrams that seem most improbable products of chance are presented next.

Verse Anagrams found by Allan Webber  Nostradamus text with anagrams highlighted
C III. Q59  line 2 Tetragrammaton transposed plus a mortal part. La pluspart de son sang mettra a mort
C.X Q.6  line 2 Quatreins (on) radionuclear induce denuclearisation   Qu'on cuidera Deucalion renaistre
Qu'on cuidera Deucalion renaistre

The Tetragrammaton is an ancient coding technique where God can be referred to by any one of 72 four letter names. It is relevant to note that transposition is also very powerfully connected to code.

The second line shown has other non-trivial anagrams of a-radionuclide and radionuced. Each of these anagrams (except transposed) only occur once in the whole text. Transposed occurs four times, in two of the other occurrences the line contains an anagram of Nostradamus' name. The nuclear words are found in different parts of the line (not anagrams of each other). The line with nuclear references illustrates the connection between the words in the original and the new revelation. Nostradamus line means "They will come to believe that Deucalion is reborn"

Now Deucalion is a Greek legendary figure whose father, Prometheus, stole the sacred fire from Zeus. Surely this is a powerful metaphor for man's use of nuclear energy. The parallels go beyond this since Deucalion and his wife Phyrra, because of their piety, were spared the vengeance of Zeus. The vengeful god flooded the world to teach man to have more respect. Deucalion's family, like Noah's, built an ark which enabled the rebirth of the world after the floods. In the coded version denuclearisation offers the world a way of going forward.

The addition by Nostradamus of the word quatrein, suggests he saw his work as one of the reasons why denuclearisation will happen. In this line we are therefore given a reason for his writing in this obscure manner.

The first line with tetragrammaton in it also has relevance to both code and text. The original text says "That the greater part of his blood will be put to death" and this is followed in the fourth line of that verse by "For fear that the blood through the blood be not dead." The idea of death and blood and not being dead ties to the act of communion and to the resurrection. It links to the idea that God's name is hidden (unspoken) in this verse.

In reaching these conclusions I am showing part of the method of decoding Nostradamus. The most probable solution to the finite but varied anagrams that can be found in a line is that which is linked (deliberately but often in an obscure way) to Nostradamus' original message.

". and by dark and cryptic sentences tell of the causes of the future mutation of mankind .. All had to be written under a cloudy figure, above all things prophetic". Nostradamus comments in his preface to his Prophecies."

And later in the same preface he says:

"I have composed books of prophecies of which each contains one hundred prophetic quatrains. I have sought to polish them a little bit obscurely."

This connection of ideas between the code and original line is not a rare occurrence. Some links are so startling as to be almost a total proof in themselves. The three following lines are exceptional (as are some others that follow. However in most cases the reader will need to click on the link in the left column to see their full analysis).

C.II Q.35  line 4 Astronomers route is Equatorial-Places  Sol l'Arq et Caper tous seront amortis
C.III Q.48  line4 Quotes unique size so it memorizes Astronomy mansions.  mais non si tost qu'vne quinziesme mort

The sequential anagrams seen in  'Astronomers route' are an outstanding example supporting my claim. Alongside of it you can see a composite anagram of 'Equatorial-places'. In this and the row below it the apostrophe in the original acts as an "e". It is absolutely clear that the message Nostradamus left in the first of these lines is about astronomy, but it has an unusual twist. It says "Sun, Sagittarius and Capricorn all will be dimmed." Now the underlying coded message is quite extraordinary because European astronomers didn't use equatorial placement until the seventeenth century. The Chinese had used it for over 2000 years but the Europeans used an ecliptic system. The equatorial system is based on pointing the top of the instrument directly at the pole and using the stars at the base of the hemisphere so formed. This method allows an observer to track movements of planets and constellations even though they are below the horizon. Here we have a unique correlation to the words of Nostradamus since  these astral objects are dimmed (i.e. hidden).

But my evidence doesn't stop there for in the second row of the table above we have anagrams for 'mansions' and "astronomi/y", which is once again a remarkable linking and it  is consistent with the equatorial syatem. In the Chinese astronomy system they divided their base line into lunar mansions. We also have '"Unique size" forming a link. Nostradamus' words are, "But not so early that one fifteenth die."  His words also specify the unique size mentioned in the code, it is one fifteenth. (for further analyses use the link to the pages on astronomy in the left column of the table above). The overlap between Sagittarius and Capricorn is about one fifteenth of their combined  spread. At about 5 o'clock. on the 10th January (modern date) in the 1550's the sun was setting in this overlap region and Secunda Gledi was disappearing over the horizon. This fulfils all the conditions of the two verses and delivers us a fixed date. It implies that Nostradamus uses the first of January (Julian date) as the start of his astronomic year. With this date we also explain the "not too early" reference for if we use the 1st January (our Gregorian date) we are ten days before the January 1st of Nostradamus era.

My methods have more power than just offering up a single unconnected reference. Using the techniques outlined above I am able to extrapolate my search using the clues I have been given. Many of the revelations in this paper originated this way. In this instance I searched for anagrams of Gledi. Here is the result:

C.VIII Q.46  line4 Stories France quoted refer Alghedi date code De coq et d'aigle de France freres trois

There is more to this line than I show here as you can see by going to the link in the left column. Here you will find an explanation of the reference to the three brothers and much more.

In the above lines we have a highly technical set of English anagrams supported by Nostradamus' visible words. They make sense and although Nostradamus could have known of this system it wasn't common practice in his time. His placing them in the exposition of his coding methods was therefore not superfluous history, it was essential.

I believe there is enough evidence in the above sections to allow a reader to see that something unusual and unexpected is taking place. The remainder of this paper is included to firm up that seed.

Through much of the next sections the reader should look at the structures and the integrity of the anagrams and the purpose for which they are placed together and not spend too long upon their specific content. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR ME TO ESTABLISH  THE IMPORT OF EVERY LINE FOR IF I WERE TO PRESENT IT IN THIS PAPER IT WOULD BREAK UP THE BROADER ISSUES I WISH TO OUTLINE. There are therefore only very  superficial analyses of each line that follows in order to indicate consistency and relevance. (Go to the links in the left column if you want a fuller analysis of any line).

The next set of lines show that we are looking at a revelation of coding techniques.

C.IX Q.13  line 4 My codes pursue far worse powers acronyms decoys brewed  mys descouuers par feu de Burancoys

As stated above I won't run through these lines in detail (click on left column for more detail to each). However in order to aid the link between text and code note that 'couvert' (1st line) means hidden, 'inconnu' (2nd line) also means hidden, 'osera' (3rd line) means bones and this was a material on which the Norse people carved their runes, 'descouvres' means discovered.

What seems to me most important in this progression of mine is to highlight that out of quatreins like these are emerging references to the Nordic runes and their poetry as the mechanism behind Nostradamus' code. The letter-props are an important part of Norse poetry as they replace end rhyme. They are letters placed in a verse as a mnemonic device. This is relevant to establish that not only do the anagrams exist but they are tied to key words and produce a consistent stream of ideas. (As stated in the first quatrain the properties of poetry are at the heart of Nostradamus' code.)

These are the first lines I have presented where a question can be raised over my choice of anagrams. Cipher is represented by Chepfer (old French has many forms for this word) and I have used 'uu'  or 'uv' to construct a 'w' (which is a letter not used in 16th C France). Again these issues are discussed in detail in the linked analyses.

It is from the confidence gained from 15 years of analysis and the structures I have outlined above and in the links that I make the minor amendments that you see in the above table.

A further note is required on C.II.Q.21. Line 2  for my analysis also yields another powerful set of words. It has 'unrecognised', 'Europe's' and 'rune coding' in it. 'Europe's Norse' also occurs in the third row  and these two words, like 'rune coding', are an adjacent anagram pair. The issue I am raising here is that there are often extra support words in a line that help to establish the validity of a theme..

By now the reader will have noticed that the anagrams I present are in English not French. It is also true that the words are in modern English with reasonable spelling. This seems unreasonable and it is why I emphasised the need to look at the evidence alone. This is what Galileo did when he conducted his experiments on gravity (Rationally, it seems most reasonable that if you drop a very heavy lead ball and a small lightweight glass object that the lead ball will reach the ground first. This is not so since   they, like every other object of whatever size and mass, reach the ground at the same time. Once again I entreat the reader to weigh the evidence but realise that this code has lain hidden for 500 years. It obviously requires an effort on your part to understand what's happening. However I believe that what I reveal will not leave you disappointed.

In the rest of this paper I will continue to present outstanding examples of simple anagrams filling the criteria I have outlined above. The reader will be challenging these in  their mind and this is most desirable. However, it isn't enough to question one or two and find them wanting. In order to disprove my claim. the reader must dismiss each and every one as fraud, delusion or chance. If after this process even one line holds true then something quite remarkable will have been achieved since we would have proof that Nostradamus could see the future; how else could his work contain even one sensible line in credible modern English. This analysis of mine is not like other proofs offered, for it does not rely on justifying a claim that a particular prediction is true. It relies on the analysis of anagrams and on the faint properties in the quatreins.

Earlier I stated that the line's hidden message is related to the text. I want to now return to the last line of that crucial verse , Quatrein 1 , line 1 to establish how powerful these links are. The hidden message is that 'Faint properties in the quatreins act as couriers'. Nostradamus words are "Making prosper that which should not be believed in vain". My words, as given in the last sentence of the previous paragraph, are a mirror image of Nostradamus words and the coded words. The first verse is a summary of what Nostradamus work is all about "Believe the secret that comes out of the hidden properties of the quatrein' lines and your belief will be rewarded."

According to the last line of the first verse if we can conclude that any line that I present is compelling then it also verifies that the last line of Quatrein 1 is true and that I have cracked Nostradamus' code.

.So, now I shall return to the exposition of my evidence. The following verses show some new aspects of the content and methods.

Verse Anagrams found by Allan Webber  Nostradamus text with anagrams highlighted
C I. Q47  line 4 Nostredame star images result (seen) in Valoix lines  Les magistrates damneront leurs loix vaines
C I. Q48  line 4 Prophet role complicates time I  name. Ptolemy Solar time  Lors accompli et mine ma prophetie
C.V Q.53  line 3 Inappropriate perils tired Prophet   Appropriant l'esprit de prophetie
C.V Q.53  line 3 I tried the planets prop prior paper reliant Appropriant l'esprit de prophetie

The astronomic view in the anagrams is totally consistent with Nostradamus' perspective on his work as revealed in his preface to the Prophecies.:

"With divine and supernatural inspiration integrated with astronomical computations one can name times and places accurately, an occult property obtained through divine virtue, power and ability."

There are only three lines being considered in the above table as the third and fourth rows refer to the same line. Each has a powerful claim to being valid and there are many cases where this happens (as in Sanskrit). Three of the rows highlight the astronomic nature of the code and its role in providing a dating mechanism for the prophecies. In addition the first two rows are from the last line of consecutive verses.

The first row contains the word 'Valoix' which was the name applied to the king's family line. The verses relating to the fate of the king's children helped bring Nostradamus to fame and in the fully analysed verses on astronomy  I show this reference is highly relevant. Nostradamus is implying that the secret to his star codes is sealed within the lines relating to the Valoix family.

The second row talks of something bringing about the completion of his prophecies. This 'something' involves the interpretation of the star code. It suggest that Nostradamus could not leave a solar-time based date in his code, that is why he uses planetary alignments as shown in the fourth row.. In the last two rows he writes that  he used an ancient art of placing planet ciphers into his work, but this too was not a simple matter because it introduced new perils.

Thistheme  is followed up in the following line where his words say that the the spirit of a single person will bring the evidence to light.

C IV. Q49  line 4 Nostredame unveils evil perils direst reign  L'esprit d'vn seul le viendra tesmoigner

The nature of these  perils are perhaps set out in this following line where his words say "there will be so much death they will say he sleeps through the years"..

C.VIII Q.42  line 4 NOSTRADAMS laments (as) dire SATAN ordinate attends, LORD  quit Mort dans sa tante diront qu'il dort le ans

In his visible message we have an implied criticism by people that God sleeps through these miserable times, which is specified in the coded version as the rein of Satan. This line leaves the impression that it is this aspect which Nostradamus found most difficult when setting down his work.

There are other verses where Nostradamus gets self reflective as I will show in later sections.

The line above  where Nostradamus mentions sleep, leads into the next collection of lines relating the code to poetic form.

Verse Anagrams found by Allan Webber  Nostradamus text with anagrams highlighted
C II. Q28  line 1 Sleep until times mourn the prop proud Prophet used  Les penultiesme du surnom du Prophete
C.VI Q.94  line 2 Another Quatrein organised indirect  guides Snorri urged Quant interdict seront harnois de guerre

C.VII Q.2  line 2 Centuries  notates old Norse stollens ends De nuict seront les soldats etonnes
C.VII Q.32  line 3 Michel alarmed seers predecessors copied ill-name Dresser copie de la marche Millane

The consistency and trend are what I seek to show within these verses. (For further analyses of each click on the left hand column links). These lines imply Nostradamus code lies hidden until the discovery of how he used Norse props.  In them there are also hints of where his peril arises as he suggests there are errors in the Edda's use of names.

The last row includes Nostradamus' first name (the penultimate name of the prophet's surname raised in the visible message of the first row). The inclusion of this name shows another part of the hidden code. He doesn't use just one form but many and some of these forms are abbreviations as well as anagrams (both of which are consistent with the tetragrammaton method indicated earlier).

It is at this point I must introduce another element of logical improbability into the anagrams. The careful reader will have seen for themselves that I am achieving something quite remarkable and of a form they won't have seen from any other writer. I have indicated that the establishment of English anagrams underlying Nostradamus text would be sufficient to conclude he could see the future. If that is successfully established then the content of the next verse I present will seem far more probable than otherwise. There is a hint of an unusual twist in this line since Nostradamus says "For white (put) black and for ancient use green". I have therefore obeyed the instruction and under the proper text I have set a line that changes the order of the nominated words. In addition, because of the controversial nature of this theme, I have gone to greater length to present the analysis of the lines.

Verse Anagrams found by Allan Webber  Nostradamus text with anagrams highlighted
C.VII Q.14  line 4 AllanWeber chosen runa poets verse Quatreins poetries use
Snorrie equips our Quatreins etches AlnEbrs  power

Pour noires blanches et pour  vertes antiques

This line is again remarkably clear in its anagrams except for one little cluster. Its anagrams are mainly strong and well connected words that make sense. The part that is difficult to resolve is the five letter group 'urblan'. This letter grouping and variants occur in various verses and are often associated with French words which seem to have little meaning. However 'urblan' as 'alnubr' forms a recognisable basis for ALLAN-UUEBBER. Of course I would be  unwise to make such a statement if it were not supportable.

Here are the four lines of this verse as written by Nostradamus (and translated into English):

"He will come to expose the false topography (surface),
The vessels of the monument overturned,
Sect and holy philosophy will thrive,
For white black and for ancients green.".

This is an interesting but insufficient basis for my conclusion so I will use two lines of Centuries IX, Quatrein 11 line 4 and Quatrein 12 line 4 to further the evidence. Quatrein 11 is highly interesting and personal. It is an account of the matters that Nostradamus says caused Jules Scaliger and him to end their friendship. By clicking on the link in the left column the interested reader can see the full analysis of this quatrein and how money and reputations came between them. However this is not the reason I have introduced it here as I am seeking to establish that verse 12 has continuity with this personal statement by Nostradamus.

C.IX Q.11  line 4 Contrast Jules of Agen's quatrein (to) your Norse sequel Que les jugeans fouyr seront constraint
C.IX Q.12  line 4 Yet Yulez orders endorses Norse styles not AL-WEBBERS   Luy et les siens d'or seront Abbreuez

In the first row, the words, Jules of Agen's quatrein, form a continuous set. So too does contrast your Norse.  Jules of Agens is powerfully descriptive and very correct since Scaliger and Nostradamus worked alongside each other in Agen. The word your  is a significant pointer to a personal meaning meant for the decoder. Jules quatrein is surely C.IX Q.11 and its sequel could easily mean the next verse.

Nostradamus words in the last line of the next quatrein say "Him and his treasures will be abbreviated." This abbreuez can easily become A-UEBBREZ. It can also be AL-UUEBBERZ as shown above. Both of them are abbreviations as implied by Nostradamus words. With this in mind we have a very specific hint that the secrets that Jules of Agen and Nostradamus found will pass to Allan Webber using abbreviated forms. This is consistent with C IV. Q49  line 4 which says"The spirit of a single person will generate the evidence"  and with ""He will come to expose the false topography"  (see above). So this analysis serves an additional purpose above support for my name since it yields a clue to a technique Nostradamus has used to hide his secrets. It is relevant  to add that this naming method Nostradamus has transposed from that used in the Tetragrammaton.

There was a practical need requiring me to establish this point, not an egocentric one since I could not skirt around the issue without leaving huge gaps in the analysis. Take for example this line presented earlier.

C.IX Q.13  line 4 My codes pursue far worse powers acronyms decoys brewed  mys descouuers par feu de Burancoys

It makes much more sense to use 'e Bura' to form the icon 'A-UEBR' than to present it as 'brewed'. This line then becomes:

C.IX Q.13  line 4 Acronyms  decoys  A-WEBBER  pursue my-codes  far worse powers  mys descouuers par feu de Burancoys

Here are some of the other lines that reveal the continuity of  this  and other themes.

There are many more lines that could be shown and some of these can be found in the links in the left column of the table above. There are also ones relating to America and its relationship to Persia. These are of a different nature to the coding messages that unite all the foregoing references. There is one however that talks of time codes and this is listed below as well as a similar reference. The other lines with American in them  include perfect sequential anagrams of "American disaster", "American lands allege ion scales alarm" and "An American cauldron unsolved". To access these  click on the link to the page given in the left column of  the lines below.

C.IX Q.48  line 3 And code cited danger time.American deceit immaterial La grande cite d'occean maritime
C.II Q.53  line 3 Danger time deepest deceit  immaterial  La grande peste de cite maritime

The details in the link page of these last lines identify the maritime ocean as the Indian Ocean leading into the Persian gulf. The maritime city is in Carmanie (Iran / Persia). It is Bandar Abbas whose previous names of Gameron and Qamerun both appear in line 1 of quatrain 47, Centuries IX. (Note that this line is only two before the one given above. The line includes these words as anagrams "Gameron / Qamerun I pen as Persien ill chance enemies ." (Go to link above for more).

I trust these efforts have not disappointed you. They are but a small part of Nostradamus' tale that I will unfold.
